One of the days we were there we decided to visit Point Pelee National Park. The most southern point of mainland Canada and one of the best spots to see bird, butterfly and dragonfly migrations in the fall and spring. I had hopes that we may see some butterflies and I was not disappointed. Although they did not number in the hundreds, there were dozens enjoying the park.

The park points out when you hit the 42nd parallel.
the 42nd parallel
Point Pelee is literally a section of the land that converges into a point. Here individuals can stand and say that they are standing on the southern most point of mainland Canada.
